World cricket is slowly resuming from COVID-19 Pandemic. There have been the talks surrounding over the cricketing nations to revive the bilateral series and even ICC is looking for a more feasible option to hold t20 world as per the schedule in Australia. England and Wales’s cricket board are the frontrunners in reviving the cricketing ties post-pandemic situation. They held continuous talks with West Indies cricket board and made West Indies tour of England possible. Pakistan’s tour of England will commence from August 5 with three tests and before this England is all set to resume ties with Ireland as they will host three ODI’s against them in Southampton. Pakistan’s test series will be followed by three T20’s at Old Trafford which is scheduled to kick-start on August 28. In an official statement released by ECB has thanked administrators of the West Indies cricket board, Pakistan and Ireland for joining hands with ECB in resuming cricketing ties. ECB has also thanked cricketers for providing continuous support and ensured that their safety will be the prime focus. Pakistan team has already arrived in England and is in 14-day quarantine as per the guidelines. Holding international matches without spectators is not a wise option particularly in cricket fanatic countries like India. BCCI seems to be well aware of this so they are not in a mood to resume international cricket as of now.
Sources revealed that BCCI is also looking at every possible option to hold IPL. Even they are thinking to hold the event outside India.
