As of now, they are working on the right schedule to resume the domestic tournaments. A higher BCCI official has told that as of now BCCI is keen on conducting Ranji trophy from November this year but it is not certain to hold the ground level leagues like under-16 and under-19 tournaments. If Ranji trophy kick starts in November then there is the plan to run the event till June next year.
As mentioned earlier India’s domestic season is vast and would consist of more than 2000 matches every year. Also domestic season India is quite long as it will start by July and will end in March. But this year it’s already late and it is not possible to host the tournaments as on date.so BCCI must work on very next possibilities to hold the event. Because lots of players life is involved in it.BCCI official also pinpoints that there will be zonal level tournaments this year and BCCI is keen on conducting the major domestic event like Ranji trophy as per the schedule as it is the foundation stone for Indian cricket. Also, BCCI is keen on instructing their state boards not to involve the staffs who are ageing more than 60. It would halt the supporting staffs and their experience would go in vain. Also, players benefitting from these players will not happen and it would hamper their progress.
